MIGUEL R. CAMPANERO, CSIC Tenured Scientist since 2018. He did his PhD training at Hospital de la Princesa (Madrid), moved to Boston (USA) for postdoctoral training at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and returned to Madrid in 2000 as Research Associate at CNB (CSIC). He was PI (2001-2020), Head of Cancer Biology Department (2002-2004), and member of the Steering Committee (2002-2004 and 2009-2015), Biosafety Committee (2003-2020), and Scientific Advisory Board (2018-2020) at IIBm (CSIC-UAM). He contributed to elucidate the mechanisms of inflammation, cell cycle regulation, lymphomagenesis, and aortic aneurysm. He has 22 publications as leading author in first decile journals, nearly 4.000 citations and h index 29 in Google Scholar (27 in Scopus). His recent work is published in prestigious journals (Nat. Med., Nat. Commun., Leukemia, Nucleic Acids. Res., EMBO Mol. Med., Haematologica). He received continuous support from national public organizations and private foundations (AECC and La Caixa), is inventor of 2 licensed patents, has supervised 9 PhD Thesis, and is currently supervising o cosupervising 7 PhD Thesis. He is member of the International Basic/Translational Panel for the GenTAC since 2021.
